The Boreal Hat was designed as the quintessential cabled hat for baby to adult. The sheer quantity of cables create an incredibly stretchy hat that will fit the small wearer for many seasons and is forgiving in sizing for larger heads.

SIZES: XS (S, M, L, XL) Shown in size M-red, L-purple, XL is an adult size.
HAT CIRCUMFERENCE: 14 (16, 18, 20, 22) inches 2 inches negative ease recommended

MATERIALS: Any worsted-weight yarn (Shown in Knitpick’s Swish worsted [100% Superwash Merino; 110 yd/50g]; 2 balls, colorways Amethyst Heather and Fired Brick.)

GAUGE: 18sts/24 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch, adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

The Boreal mittens were designed as a compliment to the Boreal Hat. The smallest size does not have a thumb and is perfect for the smallest of cold fingers.

SIZE: XS (CS, CM, CL, CXL, AS, AM, AL, AXL): XS is an infant size without a thumb, CS, CM, CL, and CXL are children’s sizes 2T, 4T, 6 and 8. AS, AM, AL, AXL are adult small, medium, large, and extra large.
